The scout Movement was first formed in Malaysia in 1910 and the Movement continued to spread to all the districts in the country. Since independence, Scouting in the country has undergone major changes keeping in line with the times and national aspirations. The training scheme has been continuously reviewed to keep in line with the changes in the school curriculum.
Scout Movement is a unique and fascinating voluntary organisation. It has its own principles which are high in moral values. The objective of the Scout Movement include the absorption of values of loyalty, development of personal qualities and a sense of discipline as well as to strenghten personal defence in facing challenges in life. These values teach and enable the Scouts to be useful citizens of society in the context of national developement. The theme of this Jamboree is “A Firm Discipline A Strong Nation”.
