Pos Malaysia announced the special stamp issue featuring the two adorable pandas, Xing Xing and Liang Liang, which have been loaned from China to symbolise the strong relations between Putrajaya and beijing.

The highlight of the special issue will be the miniature sheet with special printing using flocked paper with security fibles priced as RM8 each.
The giant panda is listed as endangered in the World Conservation Union’s (IUCN’s) Red List of Threatened Animals. There are about 1600 left in the wild. About 376 giant pandas live in captivity (breeding centers & zoos), 46 live in zoos outside of China. Gigantpandazoo.com
